The Elementary Technique and Scale Studies for Trumpet is intended as elementary exercises for beginners and elementary level students. Slur exercises are thoroughly explained in Colin’s Trumpet School at both elementary level and advanced levels, Varasdy–Nagyiván–Sztán: Trumpet School I-II-III-IV. also provides these very important exercises, therefore, in Elementary Technique and Scale Studies for Trumpet slur exercises are not included. I sincerely trust that the routines in this book can help beginner trumpet players with their problems (breathing technique, sound production, tongue technique, intonation and pitch development), so they can perform beautiful trumpet sound.
