Even at the very beginning I felt I had received indispensable musical nourishment every day as an organist and a church musician. I have not changed my opinion. As a teacher I have tried to engage my students in this chorale-cycle. It is an organ tutor as it offers, after establishing the proper didactic order,\u00a0substantial\u00a0material for achieving proper pedal-playing. At the same time, it is also a coursebook in composition in which Bach presents the various ways of adding counterparts i.e. how to\u00a0develop\u00a0a chorale melody.<u><\/u><br \/>\n<u><\/u>It is at this point that my collection is connected to the\u00a0<i>Orgelb\u00fcchlein.<\/i>\u00a0With the choice of the title,<i>\u00a0Little Hungarian Organ Book,\u00a0<\/i>I refer to the direct inspiration I received from Bach\u2019s miniature organ chorales.\u00a0\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-GB\">With my pieces I have attempted to transfer the Bachian examples into Catholic church music practice. For this purpose I have created\u00a0<i>twin-chorales<\/i>\u00a0to each\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"DE\">Orgelb\u00fcchlein<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">-arrangement. Twin-chorale is a coinage of my own, meaning that the Bach-model and the \u201csibling\u201d are musically connected as closely as possible.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span>I am aiming at supplying church music practice with fresh music, different from the\u00a0conventional, to play.
